Intro

Two years ago, North Korea's 5446 secret special forces dispatches out the five-star group leader Won Ryu-wan to sneak into a South Korean village as a spy. He goes by the pseudonym of Bang Dong-gu, and ends up living as a fool in the home of a stingy old woman. He knows the life experience and movements of every person in the village, and he has to do silly and amusing things in order not to give himself away.

With Kim Jong-il's death, there seems to be some changes on the motherland. Rhee Hae-rang, the leader of the black-dragon group who is a rival of Won Ryu-wan, and Rhee Hae-jin, a younger generation who regards Won Ryu-wan as his mentor and benefactor, appear in the village one after another. Lonely Bang Dong-gu is a little more himself in the presence of his two comrades, but the coldness in his heart slowly changes when he gets along with the people of the "enemy country".

One day, an order to spies on Unit 5446 comes, and the fate of these three young men faces the most severe pass...
