Intro
Leonard Shelby is attacked by gangsters at home, his wife is brutally raped and murdered, and he himself suffers serious brain damage. When he wakes up, he finds himself suffering from a rare disease called "short-term memory loss", so that he can only remember what happens about ten minutes ago. In order to let the life go on, more for avenging the tragic death of his wife, he relies on tattoos, notes, Polaroid photographs and other fragmentary little things to preserve memory, collect clues, and launch a difficult investigation. In the investigation, Leonard meets Natalie, a vulgar barmaid, who seems to know something that interests him; And Teddy, who claims to be his old best friend, but looks sneaky and up to no good.
