Intro
The famous TV animation "Slam Dunk" was adapted from the same name of manga work created by the Japanese cartoonist Inoue Takehiko (井上雄彦), produced by Toei Animation (東映アニメーション株式会社), and was first broadcasted on TV Asahi (テレビ朝日) from October 16, 1993 to March 23, 1996. The entire work is consisted of 101 chapters. In order to please the same level of secret crush Haruko Akagi's (あかぎ はるこ) favor, Hanamichi Sakuragi (さくらぎはなみち) who originally has no basketball base joins the basketball team without thinking twice, while Haruko only like Kaede Rukawa who has been a star player since junior high school. The natural potential plus the unyielding spirit make Hanamichi progress by leaps and bounds and gradually become an indispensable key player of the Shohoku basketball team. Meanwhile, Hanamichi Sakuragi's Shohoku high school basketball team, led by Takenori Akagi and others, has entered the national high school basketball league since the regional tryouts.
