Intro

In the years of the Republic of China (1912-1949), Chen Shi, the disciple of Wing Chun from the South, comes to Tianjin, and gets acquainted with the martial arts master Zheng Shan'ao in Tianjin. In order to establish a foothold in the martial arts community, Zheng Shan'ao suggests Chen Shi to use the traditional way of teaching the apprentice to challenge all dojos to achieve his goal. After several twists and turns, Chen Shi marries Zhao Guohui as his wife, who is a stunning woman in Tianjin, also accepts the local youth Geng Liangchen as his apprentice to challenge all dojos on behalf of him.

The couple are living in a slum in case their enemy who has been defeated comes to seek revenge. Chen Shi and his wife originally look down upon the pugnacious and concupiscent Geng Liangchen, but also finds the merit of Geng Liangchen after later contact.
